Behavior Consulting

North Alabama Behavior Consulting (NABC), founded by Holly Crabtree, is dedicated to
supporting parents in addressing their children’s behavioral challenges and assisting
teachers with students who exhibit problem behaviors, all under the guidance of
thoughtful leadership.

Specializing in applied behavior analysis (ABA) for children with various needs, we
provide accessible solutions, including in-home or virtual parent training, school
consultations, and supervision for those pursuing Board Certified Behavior Analyst
(BCBA) certification.

Holly was recommended to us by our son’s speech therapist. He was struggling so hard that his speech sessions were focused more on behavior than speech. When ABA was suggested, like many, we were hesitant. Holly was an answered prayer. She loved our little boy. She knew when to push him and when to just let him run. She learned his motivators in order to accomplish the most from him. We had complete trust in her and her methods. She answered every question we had. She listened to us and we operated as a team. The only recommendation that really matters would be from our son. Holly loved him, but most importantly he loved her and when a child feels love and knows they are safe then they learn. Holly will always be a part of our family.

Holly was instrumental in the success I had in the classroom. As a behavior teacher at a public school, I needed all the support I could get to combat the increasing negative behaviors we were seeing. Holly stepped in and not only gave strategies but taught me how to do those strategies in an easy to follow, hands on manner! It wasn’t just a paper of things to do but an actual visual representation of best practices. It’s been 4 years since she first came and I now consider myself a “master of behavior” which is all thanks to Holly! Holly will not only provide you with the skills needed but also the technique and follow up to make you a successful manager of all types of behavior! I 100% recommend her services to any one who is struggling with children with negative behaviors.

"As a mom of two with very different needs, I felt overwhelmed trying to manage their behaviors on my own. North Alabama Behavior Consulting gave me the tools and confidence to handle challenging moments. The in-home training made a world of difference, allowing me to practice strategies right where the issues arose. Holly truly listened to our family dynamics and helped us create a more harmonious home. I can’t thank her enough!"

Why I Started

Fifteen years ago, I was a mother facing daily challenges while supporting my son
through speech therapy. Each session brought tears, both his and mine. As I struggled to
keep him engaged and calm. Feeling exhausted and unsure of how to help, a compassionate
speech therapist introduced me to behavior support. That simple suggestion was
life-changing.

With the right tools and strategies, my son began to communicate, and I learned how to
respond confidently, correct with intention, and encourage his progress. Witnessing his
growth inspired me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. After
passing the board examination, I became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

While working in clinical settings, I realized that true progress often happens where
children live, learn, and play in homes, classrooms, and communities. That’s where I
choose to focus my work, providing families and educators with practical, effective
support in their everyday environments.

As both a BCBA and the parent of an autistic child, I understand the emotional highs and
lows, the uncertainties, the struggles, and the celebrations of every small victory. If
you are feeling overwhelmed, seeking direction, or simply need support, I am here to
walk alongside you.
